1. Introduction
Welcome to Blenc ("we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Blenc mobile application.
By using Blenc, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Email address (when you create an account)
- Password (stored securely hashed — we never see it in plain text)
- Google account information (name, email) if you sign in with Google
Information generated by app use:
- Clothing photos you upload or capture — these are sent to OpenAI's API for analysis and are not stored on our servers
- Garment analysis results (colour, type, fit, pattern) saved to your account
- Products you save to Favourites
- Analysis history stored locally on your device
- Your account identifier, shared with our affiliate tracking partner when you tap a product link, to attribute the click (see "Third-Party Services" below)
Automatically collected information:
- Basic usage data (number of daily searches — stored locally, not sent to us)
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and operate the Blenc service
- Authenticate your identity and maintain your account
- Process clothing images through AI analysis to generate outfit suggestions
- Save your favourite products and analysis history
- Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset)
- Improve the app's accuracy and user experience
- Generate and track affiliate links when you tap a product, so that clicks can be attributed through our affiliate partner
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
4. Clothing Images and AI Processing
When you photograph or upload a clothing item, the image is compressed and sent to OpenAI's GPT-4o Vision API for analysis. This is governed by OpenAI's Privacy Policy .
We do not store your clothing images on our servers. Images are transmitted for analysis only. The only image data we retain is what you explicitly save to Favourites, which is stored on your device.
5. Third-Party Services
Blenc uses the following third-party services:
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting (EU/US servers). See Supabase Privacy Policy
- OpenAI — AI image analysis. See OpenAI Privacy Policy
- SerpAPI — product search aggregation. See SerpAPI Privacy Policy
- Google Sign-In — optional OAuth authentication. See Google Privacy Policy
- Cuelinks — affiliate link tracking. When you tap a product, we convert the retailer link through Cuelinks so that the click can be attributed for commission purposes. Your account identifier and the retailer/product involved are shared with Cuelinks for this purpose. See Cuelinks Privacy Policy
- Online retailers — product links. Retailers appearing in your results are drawn from live product search results and may include Flipkart, Amazon, Myntra, AJIO, Meesho, Nykaa, and other online stores. When you tap a product, you may first pass through an affiliate tracking redirect (see Cuelinks, above) before arriving at that retailer's app or website, where their own privacy policy applies.
6. Data Storage and Security
Your account data (email, saved favourites) is stored in Supabase's PostgreSQL database with Row Level Security — meaning your data is only accessible to your own account.
Analysis history is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage and is not transmitted to our servers.
We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS for all data transmission, hashed password storage, and server-side environment variable management for API keys.
7. Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to:
- Access — view the data associated with your account in the Profile screen
- Delete favourites — remove individual saved products from the Favourites screen at any time
- Delete your account — permanently delete your account and all associated data via Profile → Delete account. This action is irreversible.
- Clear history — clear your local analysis history from the History screen at any time
8. Children's Privacy
Blenc is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Blenc after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
